But, in order for this campaign to give the desired results, numerous investments and preparations have been made.
The European Union has provided 6 million euros in aid for:
- purchase of 26 waste collection vehicles
- purchase of more than 90,000 containers and bins
- financing a campaign that should inform and educate the population about proper disposal
The Republic of Serbia has co-financed the project through national institutions and local self-governments and will continue to manage the set system.
Sweden has provided technical assistance to central and local authorities to ensure the successful implementation of the program.
The campaign will be implemented over a year time through various channels (television, radio, internet, billboards, posters…) and we will intensively inform citizens on how to properly dispose of household waste.
